Self Love

Self-love is an early step in learning to love others.
Here, by loving others, I don't mean romantic love, but a love of universal nature,
A feeling of deep empathy, not born out of pity, obsession, or sexual attraction,
A desire to see all humans living happily.

Self-love is self-respect; it helps you maintain moral character, even in times of adversity.

Self-love fulfills us, and when it overflows, it can spread to others as well.

This should not be confused with the external display of self-love and overt confidence, which is often a cover-up for deep-rooted insecurity.

Self-love may sound synonymous with narcissism, but ironically, a lack of true self-love is one of the root causes of narcissism.

Go, dear friend, love yourself,
Nurture it by doing something you love,
Remove your mask and embrace your true self,
Don’t let yourself be consumed by bitterness and resentment; we are all worthy of self-love, no matter where we are or who we are.
